Jim Cramer on Wall Street trading trends: ‘This action makes little sense’ (https://www.cnbc.com/2020/05/06/cramer-on-wall-street-trading-trends-this-action-makes-little-sense.html)

      • “When we get Friday’s employment report” from the Labor Department “it is going to be so bad that we’re going to be debating whether we’re in a serious recession or a depression,” CNBC’s Jim Cramer said.
      • “If you make technology that helps businesses cut costs, especially by firing people, you’re doing fine. If you make something that people literally can’t live without, like medicine, you’re in good shape,” the “Mad Money” host said.
      • “The staples and the retailers should be moving in opposite directions,” he said after watching how stocks traded during the session.

Facebook, Alphabet and Amazon are in a ‘three-horse race’ in advertising, Jim Cramer says (https://www.cnbc.com/2020/05/06/jim-cramer-facebook-alphabet-and-amazon-are-the-only-ad-games-in-town.html)

      • “Advertising is once again a three-horse race, just like when I was a kid … when it was just NBC, ABC and CBS,” CNBC’s Jim Cramer said.
      • “Today, we have the same thing, only it’s Facebook, Amazon and Alphabet,” the “Mad Money” host said.
      • “With this latest quarter, they’ve pretty much become the only game in town,” he said.

Executive Interview: Beyond Meat CEO looks to ‘win consumers’ over during meat supply shortage with ‘value packs’ (https://www.cnbc.com/2020/05/06/beyond-meat-ceo-looks-to-win-consumers-over-during-meat-shortage.html)

      • “We view this as a massive opportunity for us to drive trial and win consumers over into our segment,” Beyond Meat CEO Ethan Brown said of the meat supply shortage in America.
      • “When you look at beef, which is now at $4.10 a pound on the wholesale markets and you transfer that to retail, we have a fighting chance now as we offer value packs,” he said in a “Mad Money” interview.
      • “We’re going to look at the summer as a real opportunity for us to be relevant to the consumer as they’re looking for solutions as the meat supply has been disrupted,” he said.

Cramer’s lightning round: ‘General Dynamics is a very good long-term hold’ (https://www.cnbc.com/2020/05/06/cramer-lightning-round-general-dynamics-is-a-very-good-long-term-hold.html)

      • Crowdstrike: “Crowdstrike is the single-best cybersecurity company to play for the revolution of being online, in the cloud, working at home. I like it very much.”
      • Camping World: “They’re making a comeback, and I’ve got to tell you I know that it’s been rocky, I know this stock’s been down a lot, but I do think that camping is coming back now that they’re opening the economy.”
      • Apache: “You caught a double from the end of the quarter. Let’s just scram.”
      • Lam Research: “Lam is in the cross hairs of the president of the United States of America. Every time he doesn’t say anything bad about China, the stock goes up ’cause it’s the finest semiconductor equipment company in the world. Every time he says something bad about China, the stock goes down, so I think it’s just been too ping pong. It’s long been a Cramer fave, but if it comes back I can’t recommend it here as long as the trade tensions are as high as they are right now.”
      • General Dynamics Corp.: “You have to take a long view on GD ’cause it’s not the favorite one right now. It’s not the loved one and the whole group is a little under pressure, but I think General Dynamics is a very good long-term hold.”
      • United Natural Foods: “It’s too hard for me and I’m going to have to take a pass on it.”
