Blog Overhaul in Progress!

Hello everyone,
After several years of little activity, I’m currently working on a major refresh of this blog. Here’s a peek at what’s happening behind the scenes, written in a diary-style update.

1.　Completed Updates

  • PHP Update Completed
    The site has been updated to the latest PHP version. Security and performance have improved, providing a more stable environment for the blog.
  • Theme Change Completed (Simplicity → Cocoon)
    The design is now cleaner and much more mobile-friendly. I’m looking forward to customizing it further.
  • Forum Migration
    The “Mad Money” forum, which had been split between the Japanese site (暮眞★潤のアメリカ生活 お金の話) and the English site (Chat about Money with Jun Kurema), is being consolidated and migrated to the parent site (junkurema.com).　Going forward, the goal is to have a single place where all information can be accessed.
  • Logo Creation
    A new blog logo has been created using ChatGPT.
  • Annual Article Updates
    The usual yearly articles are being updated to the latest versions. Older posts are also being revised gradually.
  • Link Fixes
    Broken links in old posts are being checked and fixed. This is still a work in progress.

2.　Upcoming Plans

  • Survival After Cardiac Arrest
    I plan to gradually share our experience from my husband’s cardiac arrest and resuscitation, through his hospitalization and rehabilitation, to life after discharge.　This series will also include practical information on health insurance, medical costs, and other aspects that can help readers navigate similar situations.
  • Revising and Updating Older Posts
    I’m also reviewing older posts, updating the content, and translating them into English where needed.

The blog overhaul is still in progress, but it’s slowly taking shape. I’ll keep sharing updates along the way, so I hope you enjoy watching the progress as it happens.
