This page explains how I research and organize the Charitable Trust portfolio managed by Jim Cramer (CNBC) using publicly available information only.
Details are explained step by step below.
Contents
1. What is Jim Cramer’s Charitable Trust?
Jim Cramer, host of CNBC’s popular investment show Mad Money with Jim Cramer, also manages a Charitable Trust portfolio.
Some of its holdings and trades are partially disclosed through:
- Remarks made on the Mad Money show
- Related articles on the CNBC official website
- Certain information published by the CNBC Investing Club
However, a complete list of holdings is not publicly available.
It is believed that paid CNBC Investing Club members may have access to detailed holdings and portfolio information.
I do not have access to paid member content; all the records on this site are based solely on publicly available information.
2. Main Sources of Information
I research the Charitable Trust portfolio using the following sources.
2.1 Mad Money (TV show & CNBC articles)
- Stocks explicitly mentioned during the weekday Mad Money with Jim Cramer show
- Related articles on the CNBC official website
Verbal confirmation:
Sometimes, the Disclosure section of CNBC articles does not mention Charitable Trust holdings, but during the show, Cramer may verbally confirm:
- “This is held in the Charitable Trust”
- “The Trust continues to hold this stock”
In such cases, I note the confirmation date with “(verbal)” for transparency and verification.
- Cramer runs the CNBC Investing Club with Jim Cramer, but I am not a paid member.
- I only use the free daily email newsletter, “My Top 10 Things to Watch,” for research purposes
Key features of this free newsletter:
- Anyone can register and subscribe
- Lists the day’s highlighted stocks
- Sometimes indicates whether the stock is held in the Charitable Trust

3. How to Read the Portfolio Reports
3.1 Monthly Portfolio Reports (End-of-Month)
Based on the sources above, I post the portfolio as of the end of each month in table form.
Past reports can be found here: Articles tagged “Jim Cramer”
3.2 How I Determine “Date of Ownership Confirmation”
- The “Date of Ownership Confirmation” does not indicate the actual purchase or sale date
- It represents the day when I could confirm that Cramer’s Charitable Trust held the stock
- Non-consecutive dates do not necessarily mean the stock was sold in between
3.3 Differences Between Summarized and Detailed Versions
- Summarized version: Only lists the last confirmed date of ownership per stock
- Detailed version: Lists the last confirmed date and all dates within the month when ownership was confirmed
3.4 Criteria for Listing Stocks
Only stocks meeting at least one of the following criteria are included in the monthly reports:
- Explicitly stated as held in the Charitable Trust on Mad Money
- Listed as held in the free newsletter
3.5 Sector & Industry Classification
- I include sector/industry information for personal interest in portfolio distribution
- Classification is standardized based on Yahoo Finance
4. Daily Records on the Forum (Mad Money Board)
I organize the main topics and highlighted stocks from each weekday episode of Mad Money with Jim Cramer and post them daily on the Forum.
Each post includes links to primary sources whenever available:
- CNBC articles
- Official video clips (if publicly available)
- English transcripts provided by CNBC
Additionally, the following are recorded:
- Key topics discussed on the show
- Stocks mentioned
- Comments regarding Charitable Trust holdings
This creates an archive that allows readers to check the show’s content by date.
4.1 Forum Placement and Migration (Reference)
Currently, the Forum structure is being reorganized by year:
- 2025 & 2026 Mad Money threads → Parent site Forum
(https://junkurema.com/forums/forum/mad-money-stock-picks/) - 2024 and earlier Mad Money threads → Subsite Forum
(https://junkurema.com/en/forums/forum/investments/summary-of-cnbc-mad-money-episodes/)
Threads from 2024 and earlier are gradually being migrated to the parent site.
While domain links may vary by year, all past posts remain fully accessible.
